Our Team

Vihaan Agarwal

Vihaan a fourteen-year-old, who is studying in Shri Ram School Moulsari, is the founder of One Step Greener. It all started in September 2017, when the Ghazipur landfill in Delhi caught fire, collapsed and caused the death of two people. Vihaan realized that the constant fires in our overfilled landfills were caused by methane emissions due to the dumping of non-segregated garbage. The fires add to Delhi’s pollution woes significantly.

Vihaan looked around and noticed that an increasing amount of waste was getting generated in his locality, a lot of which could be recycled and reused. From the beginning he was concerned about the environment and combined with his study of science and the following of zero waste disposal at school, he got an idea. With innate leadership skills, he started on a mission of creating cleaner and greener surroundings for everyone. Initially, it wasn’t an easy task to convince people to believe in the concept, but eventually, when everyone noticed the spark in him and the practicality of his ideas and people started believing in Vihaan's ideologies. This is when he founded One Step Greener.

Today, One Step Greener is a fully functional NGO on a mission to spread awareness and help clean the locality and working towards zero-waste.

Nav Agarwal

Nav a class 6th student is the co-founder of One Step Greener. He along with Vihaan works on planning the execution of the regular tasks and is mostly responsible for creating awareness on waste segregation. Nav is a great orator and gives amazing presentations that help in creating awareness on the cause and move One Step Greener towards its goal of taking the initiative to a higher level.

As environment degradation is taking its course there is a need to protect the environment for our future generations and he feels it is his responsibility to keep the environment clean, and work for a better future. He believes that not only the youth of today but also the upcoming generation need to put in their efforts to achieving the acceptable standard of clean surroundings and conservation of the environment.

Both Vihaan and Nav would like to invite each one of you to be a part of this larger than life step that they are taking and help them spread the awareness.
